At Ayzoh!, we are honored to welcome Yacciry into our community of storytellers, travelers, and cultural guardians. Her presence reminds us that the future is not a single path forward—but a weaving together of deep roots, scientific clarity, and a radical openness to other ways of knowing.
“I come from two worlds that often seem to live in opposition. One is the world of science—of biology, marine ecosystems, and the deep, rational study of life in the oceans. The other is the world of my ancestors—keepers of sacred fire, wisdom passed down through ceremony, and the ancient language of wind, water, and earth.
For years I believed I had to choose between these two paths. But life — especially life lived close to the rhythms of nature — taught me otherwise.
Today, I walk both paths at once. As a marine biologist, I listen to the intelligence of coral reefs, ocean currents, and coastal species. As a medicine woman, I listen to dreams, energy, memory, and story. In both, I work with living systems—seen and unseen. In both, I search for balance, connection, and truth.
This is the foundation from which I share my reflections on travel, energy, and human connection.”
