Before her career in wedding planning and event design, Guadalupe owned a houseware company producing goods for clients in the United States and Europe. This experience helped her develop a love for designing environments that appeal to diverse nationalities. She later co-founded Mary Jane Bags, a brand of unique oilcloth bags for the home, further refining her sense of design.
Guadalupe’s global travels, including a life-changing trip to Kenya over a decade ago, inspired the name "Penzi," which means "love and desire" in Swahili. Since then, she has been dedicated to combining her passion for design with her desire to support those in need, giving Penzi Weddings a unique identity that extends beyond just beautiful events.
Named one of the 100 best planners in the world (2021 and 2022) by DWP Insider, Guadalupe attributes her success to her dedicated team of professionals. Together, they create extraordinary, personalized experiences for clients, from traditional Mexican decor with papel picado to formal American weddings, while remaining committed to her vision of making a positive impact on the world.
